ROBERTSON COUNTY, Tenn. — A multi-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian temporarily closed part of Interstate 65 North on Monday evening, causing significant traffic delays.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) reported the incident at approximately 7:17 p.m. near mile marker 105.6. All northbound lanes were shut down, and traffic was backed up for miles. TDOT’s SmartWay traffic maps showed the area was heavily congested as crews responded to the scene.

In a statement posted on X, Erin Zeigler, a TDOT communications officer, confirmed that a diversion route had been set up at Exit 104, directing drivers off the interstate to alleviate the growing traffic. By 11 p.m., the northbound lanes were reopened, and traffic flow was restored.

The condition of the pedestrian involved in the crash has not yet been disclosed. Authorities from the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office and the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) were present on the scene, but no further details have been released as of now.
