Woman Dies in Early Morning Crash Near Davidson County Line

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. — A woman has died following a single-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning near the Davidson County line, according to Metro Nashville Police.

The crash occurred around 2 a.m. in the 1300 block of Old Hickory Boulevard, at the intersection of River Oaks Road. Investigators report that the vehicle involved in the crash struck a tree before coming to rest in a nearby ditch.

Authorities quickly responded to the scene, and the area was closed for several hours while investigators processed the scene. The roadway was reopened just after 6 a.m. Wednesday, but the identity of the woman has not yet been released.
