Nashville, Tenn. — Authorities in Mt. Juliet arrested a man and a woman Friday night who were reportedly wanted out of Nashville, all while they were in the middle of a DoorDash delivery.
The Mt. Juliet Police Department said officers initiated a traffic stop on Friday, May 23, after observing a vehicle traveling 51 mph in a 35 mph zone along Central Pike. The driver, identified only as a 35-year-old Nashville man, was found to have outstanding warrants for felony probation violation and assault. Officials also noted that he was driving without a valid license.
The passenger, a 36-year-old woman also from Nashville, was reportedly wanted for assault as well.
At the time of the stop, the pair was reportedly carrying a bag of ice cream as part of their DoorDash delivery. Despite the arrests, police ensured the order was completed and delivered to its intended destination.
The Mt. Juliet Police Department praised its officers’ dedication and vigilance in a statement on social media, emphasizing their commitment to maintaining community safety.
