Teenagers Trash Nashville Home in Unruly Party, Owner Left to Deal with Damage

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A Nashville homeowner is left picking up the pieces after a chaotic party thrown by teenagers inside his newly-built home resulted in significant damage. The homeowner, Kyle Grasser, was shocked to discover that the event took place without his knowledge, leaving the property in disarray.

Grasser, who had listed the home for sale while it was still under construction, described the scene as a “mess” when he arrived. According to Grasser, the party attracted between 150 and 200 teenagers, many of whom fled the scene as police arrived, some rushing out the front door while others found their way out through the back. Video footage captured only the teens streaming out of the front, but Grasser noted that many more escaped through the rear exit. “It was shoulder-to-shoulder in here. It was a good show,” Grasser said.

Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) officers who responded to the scene confirmed that there was no forced entry into the property. However, Grasser believes that someone managed to obtain a key to the home, which allowed the party to take place. The house was still in the final stages of construction and had been listed for sale at the time.

Around 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Grasser received a call from a neighbor reporting that people were seen crawling in and out of the windows of the home. As soon as he heard the news, Grasser rushed to the property and called 911 on his way. Officers arriving at the scene discovered multiple signs of disorderly conduct, including alcohol bottles and cans scattered throughout the house, along with indications of drug use.

“It was pretty bad. You could smell the smoke from outside. You walked in and the floors are saturated with beer and party juice of all different kinds. They blacked out the lights, ripped out a few of the fixtures, and it was relatively dark in here,” Grasser said, describing the scene in detail.

The MNPD has launched an ongoing investigation to identify the individuals involved in the vandalism and disorderly conduct. In the meantime, Grasser is left not only to clean up the mess but also to repair the damage done to the property.

Despite the anger and frustration he must be feeling, Grasser has expressed a desire to hold those responsible accountable for the damages, while avoiding ruining anyone’s life over a single poor decision. “We, obviously, need to get retribution for damages,” Grasser said. “I’m not really looking to ruin anybody’s life here with one bad decision.”

As the investigation continues, the community is left grappling with the aftermath of a wild, unsanctioned party that has caused significant damage to a local property.
