Nashville, TN – Nashville police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the individuals responsible for a shooting that occurred on December 9th outside a residence on Fanning Drive. A 61-year-old man was injured after being shot in the ankle during a confrontation with two drivers who had been performing dangerous driving stunts in front of his home.

According to witnesses, the two drivers, both behind the wheel of Dodge Challengers, were doing donuts and burnouts in the street when they nearly struck a family member of the victim. The 61-year-old man approached the drivers to confront them, informing them that he would be calling the police. The drivers fled the scene but later returned in the white Dodge Challenger.

As the vehicle stopped, one of the occupants reportedly said, “Oh, you’re going to call the police?” before the front passenger fired multiple shots at the victim, striking him in the ankle.

The driver of the white Dodge Challenger is described as a white male with a fade haircut, while the shooter is described as a black male, both believed to be in their early 20s.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident or the individuals involved to come forward. Those with tips are encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Tips can be made anonymously, and callers may be eligible for a cash reward.

Investigators continue to work on the case, seeking any additional leads that could help identify and apprehend the suspects involved.
