Nashville, Tenn. — A man was shot and killed inside a home in the Antioch neighborhood of Nashville on Monday evening.

The shooting occurred around 8:50 p.m. in the 900 block of Birch Mill Point South. Metro police responded to the scene and discovered the victim with a gunshot wound to his head. Authorities have not released the victim’s identity at this time.

Witnesses at the scene were detained for questioning, and detectives are actively working to gather more information and develop a suspect. Police have indicated that the shooting was contained to the residence, and there is no indication that the public is at risk.
