CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. — A tense standoff in Clarksville concluded peacefully Sunday afternoon after authorities spent hours negotiating with a barricaded suspect at a home on Roedeer Drive.
The situation began just after 12:45 p.m. on March 16 when the Clarksville Police Department received a 911 call reporting an “unwanted guest” at a residence in the 100 block of Roedeer Drive. The homeowner, feeling uncomfortable with the individual’s presence, left the property and called law enforcement for assistance.
Officers quickly responded to the scene and began working to communicate with the suspect, later identified as 43-year-old Dainmus Hudson. By 2:45 p.m., the police confirmed they were in the process of negotiating with Hudson and were urging him to exit the home. Roedeer Drive was temporarily shut down in front of the residence as law enforcement worked to resolve the situation safely.
After hours of negotiations, the suspect eventually agreed to surrender. Just before 4:30 p.m., Hudson was taken into custody without incident. The Clarksville Police Department confirmed that the standoff ended peacefully, and Hudson was detained without any injuries reported.
Police revealed that Hudson had multiple outstanding warrants, including one for probation violation. However, the exact nature of the other charges related to the warrants has not been disclosed.
Authorities did not release further details about the incident, and the investigation remains ongoing. Despite the length of the standoff, the outcome was considered a success, with officers using the public announcement system to communicate with Hudson and convince him to peacefully surrender.
