NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A juvenile was injured in a shooting near an Antioch fire station on Wednesday night, prompting a swift response from local law enforcement and emergency services. The shooting took place along Forest View Drive, just a short distance from Fire Station 33.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD), a juvenile was struck by gunfire and quickly transported to Century Farms for medical treatment. In addition to the juvenile, police confirmed that an uninvolved vehicle was also hit by bullets at a nearby intersection.

Fire officials confirmed that crews were at Fire Station 33 when the shots rang out. A spokesperson for the Nashville Fire Department stated that the MNPD officers stationed at the fire station immediately activated a Code 5000 alert — a signal indicating that personnel were in danger. At the time, the fire suppression crews were responding to other calls, but a medic unit was present at the station.

Despite the close proximity of the gunfire, no fire personnel were injured in the incident. However, at least one bullet struck the medic unit that was stationed at the firehouse. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

The incident marks another troubling instance of violence occurring near vital public service locations, raising concerns for the safety of emergency personnel and the surrounding community. The MNPD is urging anyone with information about the shooting to come forward.

As the investigation continues, residents in the Antioch area are being asked to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
