NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with a deadly shooting that occurred early Monday morning in South Nashville. The incident left one man dead and two others injured after the suspects allegedly opened fire on a vehicle as it left a hookah lounge.

Metro Nashville Police announced on Wednesday that Sadiq Al-Sahaf, 23, and Mohammad Al Rabiey, 22, were taken into custody following a two-day investigation. Both men have been charged with felony homicide and three counts of felony attempted homicide.

The shooting unfolded around 2 a.m. Monday, when the victims were leaving a hookah lounge on Nolensville Pike. According to investigators, surveillance footage captured the suspects following the victims’ vehicle as it drove away from the establishment. One of the suspects reportedly retrieved an AK-style pistol from his car and approached the Honda Accord. He then fired several rounds at the vehicle.

The Accord, struck by gunfire, continued a short distance before crashing into a nearby law office. The driver, identified as 22-year-old Ahmed Amran, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other men, both 23 years old, were injured in the shooting and taken to local hospitals for treatment.

Investigators recovered high-caliber bullet casings outside the hookah lounge, which were consistent with the type of firearm believed to have been used in the shooting. An autopsy later confirmed that the victim, Amran, was struck by rounds from the same high-caliber gun.

The arrests of Al-Sahaf and Al Rabiey came after authorities pieced together evidence from surveillance footage, witness statements, and forensic findings. The two suspects are now facing charges related to the fatal shooting and the injuries sustained by the other victims.

This tragic event has shocked the local community, as authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
