NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A 37-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday after being accused of luring two women from out of state to Tennessee and trafficking them for sex.
Francisco Pascual Angulo allegedly connected with the victims through a website, promising them a lavish lifestyle in exchange for their participation in hosting parties and providing bottle service.
According to court documents, Angulo convinced one woman to travel to Nashville from Miami, while the other was instructed to drive to Tennessee from El Paso in a rental car. Once in Nashville, the women were forced to meet with unknown men through ride-share services, where they were coerced into engaging in sex acts for payment.
The victims were provided with price lists for various sexual services, with payments made either in cash or through electronic transfers.
The women were reportedly housed at a property on Acklen Avenue near Hillsboro Village, where Angulo maintained tight control over their living conditions. He dictated what they could eat, how much they could consume, and what they could drink. Additionally, he monitored their locations and threatened harm to both them and their families if they did not comply with his demands.
The victims managed to escape their ordeal on February 10, when they contacted police from a motel on Demonbreun Street.
Authorities later confirmed that both women had been brought to Nashville on January 28 and January 31, respectively. Following the women’s escape, law enforcement officials seized cash, vehicles, and high-end goods from the residence on Acklen Avenue.
Angulo was arrested and booked into the Metro jail, facing two counts of trafficking for a commercial sex act. His bond was set at $150,000.
The case highlights the ongoing issue of human trafficking and underscores the importance of law enforcement vigilance in identifying and addressing such crimes.
Authorities continue to investigate Angulo’s activities, and further charges may be forthcoming as the investigation progresses.
