NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A 59-year-old man was arrested Thursday after Metro Nashville Police conducted a search warrant at an apartment on Dellway Villa Drive, uncovering drugs and firearms in the process.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD), Narcotics and Interdiction and Vice detectives executed the warrant and discovered more than one ounce of fentanyl-laced cocaine, along with a revolver and an AK-style rifle. The search was part of an ongoing effort to address illegal drug activity and violent crime in the area.
The resident of the apartment, identified as Arnie Crosby Jr., was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including being a felon in possession of a firearm, gun possession in the commission of a felony, and felony drug possession. Crosby, who has an extensive criminal history, including prior convictions for being a felon in possession of a firearm, cocaine sales, and aggravated assault, was taken into custody and booked into Metro Jail. He is being held on a $63,000 bond.
The MNPD emphasized its commitment to maintaining safety in the community, stating in a press release, “MNPD continues to address issues of illegal drug activity and violent crime in the area with the goal of ensuring a safe and secure environment for all residents.”
Authorities are continuing their investigation as they work to combat illegal activities and improve public safety in the region.
