Owner Karin Dyer expressed her gratitude to the community in the aftermath of the incident, acknowledging the outpouring of support the restaurant received. “We are very well-known in the community and the community supports us very well,” Dyer told News 2 shortly after the crash. “I’m very thankful and grateful for what I do for the community and what they do for us.”

The restaurant, a staple in the Smyrna area, has been undergoing repairs since the accident, ensuring that the building is safe and ready for business. On Tuesday, Karin’s Kustard & Hamburgers took to social media to announce its grand reopening, scheduled for Friday, January 3. The restaurant will resume regular hours from 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

In a heartfelt Facebook post, the business thanked its loyal customers for their support throughout the closure. “We are so beyond thankful for the outpouring of love and support from our community!
