Nashville, TN – Detectives from the Specialized Investigations Division are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals involved in a shooting that occurred outside a home on Fanning Drive on December 9th.

According to eyewitness reports, the incident began when the drivers of two Dodge Challengers were seen performing donuts and burnouts in front of a residence on Fanning Drive. As the drivers almost struck a family member, the victim, a 61-year-old man, confronted them and threatened to call the police. The drivers then fled the scene, but the white Dodge Challenger returned a short time later.

At this point, the front passenger of the white Challenger allegedly addressed the victim, saying, “Oh, you’re going to call the police?” before firing several shots at the victim, striking him in the ankle.

The driver of the white Dodge Challenger is described as a white man in his early 20s with a fade haircut. The shooter, a black man in his early 20s, was seated in the passenger side of the vehicle.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspects or the vehicles involved to come forward. Those with tips are encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest.
