Davidson County, Tenn. — A semi-truck overturned on Interstate 24 late Wednesday night, temporarily shutting down all westbound lanes near mile marker 60, according to authorities.
The incident occurred around 10:08 p.m., prompting emergency crews to respond to the scene. Officials confirmed it was a single-vehicle crash involving only the semi-truck. The circumstances leading up to the crash remain under investigation.
Traffic was diverted for several hours overnight as crews worked to clear the wreckage and ensure the safety of the roadway. All westbound lanes have since reopened, and normal traffic flow has resumed.
At this time, it is unclear whether anyone was injured in the crash. The Tennessee Highway Patrol has not released further details.
Motorists traveling through the area late Wednesday experienced significant delays, though no other vehicles were reported to be involved.
Authorities are urging drivers to remain cautious and alert, especially during nighttime travel.
