MURFREESBORO, Tenn — Authorities in Murfreesboro are asking for the public’s help in identifying two individuals believed to be involved in a series of vehicle break-ins that occurred on Memorial Day.

According to the Murfreesboro Police Department (MPD), the incidents took place on Monday, May 26, at several public locations, including the Fountains at Gateway, the Manson Pike Trailhead, and the pickleball courts on Golf Lane. The suspects are also wanted in connection with felony theft, credit card fraud, and vandalism, officials said.

The MPD shared images of the individuals on social media Monday evening, shortly before 7 p.m., as part of an ongoing investigation. The suspects were last seen traveling in a silver SUV with a Tennessee license plate. However, investigators revealed that the plate is registered to a different vehicle, raising concerns that the suspects may be attempting to conceal their identities.

Authorities have not released the names of the suspects but are urging anyone who recognizes the individuals or has relevant information to come forward.

Detective Ferree is leading the investigation and can be contacted at 629-201-5628.

“We’re asking anyone who might have seen suspicious activity at any of the locations or who can help identify the suspects to reach out,” a police spokesperson said in a statement.

The department has not disclosed the total value of the items stolen or damaged during the break-ins, but emphasized the seriousness of the charges, particularly the alleged credit card fraud and felony-level theft.

The investigation remains ongoing.
