MT. JULIET, Tenn. – A Nashville man who had been wanted by authorities since June 2024 was arrested following a traffic stop on Monday, according to the Mt. Juliet Police Department.

The arrest occurred after an officer pulled over the 43-year-old man for following another vehicle too closely. During the stop, police discovered that the man had multiple active warrants for his arrest. He was wanted for failing to appear in court on charges related to an assault on a first responder, which had been the basis for his outstanding arrest warrant since June of the previous year.

Further investigation revealed additional warrants for public intoxication and resisting arrest. The man was also found to be driving with a suspended license at the time of the traffic stop.

Authorities did not immediately release the suspect’s name, but they confirmed that the arrest marked the culmination of an ongoing investigation into his whereabouts. The man is expected to face charges in connection with the prior offenses, as well as new charges stemming from his actions during the traffic stop.

Mt. Juliet police continue to urge the public to report any information related to wanted individuals, emphasizing the importance of community cooperation in ensuring public safety.
