Man Dies After Targeted Shooting Outside Antioch Bar

ANTIOCH, Tenn. — A 29-year-old man is dead following a shooting in the parking lot of a shopping center early Monday morning. Authorities are investigating the incident as a targeted attack.

The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) reported that the shooting occurred just before 1 a.m. in the 800 block of Hamilton Crossings, near Sky Bar Lounge. According to police, the victim, identified as Larry Jones, had been leaving the bar with a friend when he was approached from behind by an unidentified male suspect.

The suspect shot Jones before fleeing the scene on foot, heading toward a nearby vehicle. Jones was transported to TriStar Century Farms ER in a private vehicle, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

MNPD officials said they believe the shooting was targeted but have not released further details about the motive or the suspect’s identity. Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
