WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tenn. – A former wrestling coach from Williamson County was arrested Wednesday on multiple charges of child exploitation. Geston Gordon, the former girls’ wrestling coach at Fairview High School, was taken into custody after being indicted by a Dickson County Grand Jury.

The investigation into Gordon began when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip about a 13-year-old female from Ohio who was being extorted online for nude images. The case quickly became a cross-state investigation as digital forensics experts traced the suspect’s activities back to Williamson County, Tennessee.

Ohio investigators identified Gordon as the individual behind the exploitation and linked him to his work with Williamson County Schools. As soon as district officials were notified, Gordon was immediately suspended from his coaching position. The district then contacted the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office to assist in the investigation.

Authorities in Williamson County, working alongside the Dickson County District Attorney’s Office, were able to secure an indictment against Gordon. He now faces several charges, including sexual exploitation of a minor by electronic means, three counts of especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, 15 counts of exploitation of a minor under 13, and three counts of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor. Gordon is currently being held at the Dickson County Detention Center on a $200,000 bond.

Sheriff Jeff Hughes praised the teamwork between law enforcement agencies in a statement, saying, “This arrest is the result of determined investigative work and effective collaboration between our office and the Dickson County District Attorney’s Office. We remain committed to protecting children from predators—wherever they may be.”

Gordon, who resides in Dickson County, had served as the girls’ wrestling coach at both Fairview High School and Ravenwood High School in Brentwood, Tennessee. He also served in the U.S. Air Force for six years.

At this time, no additional information has been made available. The investigation continues as authorities work to ensure justice is served and prevent further exploitation.

This case underscores the ongoing need for vigilance and collaboration to protect children from online predators and ensure that individuals in positions of authority are held accountable for their actions.
