Columbia, Tenn. — A fire at an auto body shop in Columbia, Tennessee, is now under investigation after crews responded to the scene on Friday afternoon.
According to Columbia Fire and Rescue, emergency services were called to Brown’s Body Shop, located in the 1500 block of Nashville Highway, just before noon. Firefighters arrived to find flames engulfing parts of the building. Crews worked quickly to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby structures.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the shop was evacuated before the fire reached dangerous levels. However, the building sustained significant damage, and the cause of the fire remains unclear at this time.
The Tennessee Fire Marshal’s Office is now investigating the incident. Authorities are working to determine whether the fire was accidental or the result of any suspicious activity.
