NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A man was arrested on Monday, February 17, more than two weeks after a deadly shooting outside a convenience store in East Nashville.
The shooting occurred on Sunday, February 2, in the parking lot of the Z-Mart located on Dickerson Pike.
Metro Nashville Police reported that the incident began when 35-year-old Ivorie Lee and 38-year-old William Montez Hall met at the market to discuss a financial dispute.
Detectives said that during the conversation, Lee allegedly punched Hall in the face. In response, Hall drew a firearm and shot Lee. Lee was rushed to Skyline Medical Center, where he died from his injuries shortly after arriving.
Hall, who is a convicted felon, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm. He is currently being held at Metro Jail on an $80,000 bond.
Authorities have not released additional details about the dispute between the two men.
The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing.
