Knoxville, TN – The City of Knoxville and Mayor Indya Kincannon recently met with neighbors to discuss plans for expanding native vegetation at Victor Ashe Park.
The conversation focused on bringing more native trees, grasses and wildflowers to the park while creating additional habitat for birds and pollinators.
City officials said the effort is part of ongoing work to improve Knoxville’s natural spaces and support local wildlife.
The city also thanked its Public Service team for the work it does each day to care for Knoxville’s parks and natural areas.
The discussion at Victor Ashe Park comes as the city continues looking for ways to strengthen natural spaces while providing residents with well-maintained areas to enjoy.
