Drunk Driver Collides with Metro Police Patrol Vehicle in East Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A late-night incident in East Nashville left both a Metro Nashville Police Department patrol vehicle and an allegedly intoxicated driver’s car damaged after a collision at the intersection of Gallatin Avenue and Granada Avenue.

According to Metro Police, the driver of a car reportedly pulled out in front of a patrol vehicle, causing the officer to crash into the rear of the car. The collision occurred in the early hours of the morning, though no serious injuries were reported from the scene.

Both vehicles involved in the crash were towed away after being deemed inoperable. The driver of the car, who has not yet been identified, was arrested at the scene and now faces multiple charges, including driving under the influence (DUI) and resisting arrest.
