COFFEE COUNTY, Tenn. — A law enforcement pursuit in Coffee County on Tuesday evening led to the arrest of a murder suspect, according to the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident began at approximately 5:15 p.m. in Manchester when authorities spotted a suspect wanted on a murder indictment. The suspect, whose identity has not been released, fled from law enforcement, sparking a brief chase that ended near mile marker 109 on Interstate 24.
During the pursuit, one of the patrol vehicles crashed, but fortunately, no injuries were reported. Despite the collision, deputies successfully apprehended the individual.
The suspect was taken into custody without further incident. Authorities have not provided additional details about the arrest or the circumstances surrounding the murder indictment. The investigation is ongoing, and further updates are expected as more information becomes available.
