WILSON COUNTY, Tenn. — A collision between a Nissan Armada and a semi truck left one person injured Wednesday morning in snowy conditions on Highway 109 in Wilson County.

The incident occurred around 9:10 a.m. on February 19, near the intersection of Highway 109 and Northwest Williams Road. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), a 2010 Nissan Armada was traveling northbound on Highway 109 when the driver, a 52-year-old man from Tennessee, crossed the center line into the southbound lane. The Nissan then sideswiped a 2022 International LT625 semi truck that was traveling southbound.

After the initial impact, the Nissan veered off the road to the left and came to a stop, while the semi came to a rest on the southbound right shoulder. Authorities reported that the semi truck’s driver, a 35-year-old man from Indiana, was wearing a seatbelt and was unharmed in the crash.

The driver of the Nissan, who was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained injuries. However, THP did not provide details on the extent or nature of the injuries. The injured driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

No charges have been filed in connection with the crash as of the latest update. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The snowy road conditions at the time of the crash likely contributed to the dangerous situation. Local officials continue to urge drivers to exercise caution and prioritize safety, particularly in winter weather.
