Nashville, Tenn. – Authorities in Robertson County are searching for a man considered to be “dangerous” after a welfare check led to the discovery of a deceased individual. The incident occurred on Tuesday, February 4, when deputies from the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) were dispatched to a residence on Fisher Grove Road in Greenbrier.

Upon arrival, officers found a deceased man inside the home. According to the sheriff’s office, an initial investigation suggests that the death is related to a domestic situation between a stepfather and stepson. The RCSO has identified 39-year-old Jimmy Anthony Cox as a person of interest in the case.

Cox, described as 6’1″ tall, weighing 175 pounds, with blue eyes and a bald head, is believed to be traveling on foot. He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie and black shorts. Authorities have warned that Cox should be considered dangerous and have urged the public not to approach him. Anyone who spots Cox is advised to immediately call 911.

In response to the ongoing search, the Robertson County Director of Schools confirmed that schools in the Greenbrier area are currently on a soft lockdown. The lockdown, which is expected to last until the school day concludes at 2:40 p.m., prevents students from leaving campus unless picked up by parents. School buses have been prohibited from traveling on Fisher Grove, Smiley Hollow, and Greenbrier Roads as a precaution. Bus riders will remain at school until the search for Cox concludes.

The sheriff’s office has not released any further details regarding the investigation, and authorities continue to search for Cox as part of their ongoing efforts to ensure public safety.

Residents in the area are advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to local law enforcement.
