Nashville, TN — A 25-year-old man, identified as Anthony Harmon, was arrested Sunday afternoon after a woman accused him of attempting to sexually assault her during a visit to his Antioch home. According to a report from the Metro Nashville Police Department, the woman met Harmon on a dating site two to three months ago. The two had exchanged numerous text messages leading up to the incident, which occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning around 2 a.m.
The woman told officers she arranged for a rideshare to take her to Harmon’s residence. Upon arriving, she found him in his bedroom, playing a video game. She said she laid down on the bed, and Harmon began rubbing her leg. The woman reported that she initially allowed the contact, but things escalated when Harmon attempted to have sex with her.The woman stated that she repeatedly told Harmon she “didn’t want to have sex on the first date,” but he allegedly became more aggressive, grabbing her in an unwanted manner.
Fearing for her safety, the woman went to the bathroom and called a rideshare, which was expected to arrive in about 14 minutes. After waiting for a short time, she returned to Harmon’s bedroom, where she claimed he pushed her onto the bed and began removing his pants. At that point, the woman managed to call 911, and responding officers arrived shortly after. Police noted visible injuries on the woman, including an “obvious bruise” on her left arm and “discolored skin” on her right arm, indicating a physical struggle.
